Born in Berkeley, CA, Jessica Snow earned a B.A. Degree in studio art for the University of California, Davis in 1987. In 1988 she attended the Universite de la Nouvelle-Sorbonne III, Paris, France; in 1992 the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine; and in 1996 she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Mills College. She currentl lives and works in San Francisco, CA, and is represented by the Rena Bransten Gallery there, where she has had 3 solo shows. She has also had solo shows at the Riverside Art Museum, POST in Los Angeles, and the SFMOMA Artist's Gallery. She has participated in numerous group shows both nationally and internationally.
In June of 2008 she will be having a show at the Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales in Montevideo, Uruguay. This year she was selected for the prestigious American Artist's Abroad Program and traveled to Montevideo for programming which included working with children on an art project in a public school there. Other honors include the Artadia Award to Individual Artists in 2000, and the Edwin and Adalaine Cadogan Fellowship Award in 1995.
