With Gas station. Kern County, California, we have yet another example of Dorothea Lange’s penchant for capturing interesting, hand-painted signs. This sign appeared in Kern County, California, just north of Los Angeles—across the country from the sign featured in our previous Lange edition, a reminder of the artist’s extraordinary scope. Though taken in 1938, between major election years, this particular image hits home in 2016. The months leading up to today's presidential election feel like they’ve lasted a lifetime, filled with scandal and intrigue, fear-mongering and fact-twisting. The two candidates couldn’t be more dissimilar, so each debate—on television or around the dinner table—has been heated. Here at 20x200, “Don’t let the big men take it away from you” rings true on a number of levels. Most importantly, it reminds us of the power of standing up for what’s right, and staying stronger together in this pivotal presidential election.

+ Limited-edition, exclusive to 20x200
+ Museum quality: archival inks, 100% cotton rag paper unless noted
+ Handcrafted custom-framing is available

Our quoted dimensions are for the size of paper containing the images, not the printed image itself. We do not alter the aspect ratio, nor do we crop or resize the artists’ originals. All of our prints have a minimum border of .5 inches to allow for framing.
