Artist Statement

A few years ago when freelance work was slow I came up with a project that would force me to keep working as I am innately a lazy person. I decided to paint 100 paintings for $100 each. The art I made came from whatever happened that day, from the gut, no muss, no fuss, no nonsense! Fun only!

Why We Love It

We figure this is basically what goes through every cat’s head on the reg (punctuated by an alternating refrain of “stop touching me, idiot” and “touch me now, idiot”), but it’s only Martha Rich’s cat who musters up more than a meow to deliver the sass.  If you really want someone to get the picture (pun totally intended), just hang this purrfect print in eyeshot so you can casually point to it as the mood strikes you.
