For the several years I've captured the juxtaposition of foliage, specifically cacti and succulents, against man-made backdrops or, as I often call it, "nature in unnatural settings." This ongoing theme has become a more frequent occurrence in my work since moving to Los Angeles, especially with the increasing popularity of hearty "drought-tolerant" plants as a direct result of California's depleting water supply.
