Artist Statement

When I was first starting my career as a designer, I visited a design firm who had, on a giant wall in their office, hundreds of pieces of breakfast cereal arranged by size, color and shape. I was intrigued by these tiny objects and amazed by their differences and similarities. On my way home, I stopped in a drug store to get Halloween candy and was inspired by the beauty of these tiny, jewel-like everyday objects, often consumed but visually ignored.

Craig Kanarick

Craig Kanarick is best known for starting the pioneering digital consulting firm Razorfish. There he designed and directed hundreds of projects, including many award-winning websites. His digital work is part of the permanent collection at the San Francisco Museum of Art. He is currently the CEO of Mouth, a specialty food retailer. Craig was born and raised in Minneapolis, went to college in Philly, grad school in Boston and now lives in New York with his incredibly creative wife and kids.
