Artist Statement

Edition of 200 Original photocopy of my hand. Each will be unique. I will only make one copy at a time with my hand in a different position for each of the 200 images. They are really an edition of 1, two hundred times.

Edition of 20 Original drawing of my hand. Ink on paper. I find myself drawing my left hand a lot, it is always available and I can mold it into different positions. Each one of these drawings is different.

Edition of 2 I will come to your house and shake your hand. Two of these interactions will be available. After I meet you I will give you a certificate, to be signed by both you and me, stating the authentication of the encounter. This artwork is a collaboration between you and me. You will also receive a photograph that is taken the moment of our meeting. Please email collector@20x200.com about the availability of this edition before purchasing.

Jason Polan was an American artist living in New York City. He exhibited work all over the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He was a member of The 53rd Street Biological Society and Taco Bell Drawing Club and his book Every Piece of Art in the Museum of Modern Art is a cult favorite. He made over 100 books. His illustrations and projects have appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Believer Magazine, ARTnews and more.
