Bookish Letterpress

  • $15.00
Behold! Bookish Letterpress, a series of 9 one-of-a-kind prints hand-pressed by master printer and provocateur Amos Kennedy in his Detroit studio. Back in 2019 we released the bestselling Baker’s Dozen letterpress series from Kennedy Prints, and today we’ve got an extra special round two for all you fellow literary lovahs.

If, like us, you love Amos Kennedy’s work, you probably have a hard time picking your favorite print. This is the series for you. Each 8”x6” print is utterly unique and affordably priced at $15 apiece. Pick one for yourself, two for some friends, or collect the whole dang set!

Choose from nine quippy and thought-provoking quotes from legendary literary and historical figures like Frederick Douglass, Jorge Luis Borges, and Jo Goodwin. Plus a few punchy declaratives that stand on their own. No two prints are alike, with unending variations of layout, layering, inks, and types. Choose your quote and the rest is a surprise!

The surprise just sweetens the deal and very much in the vein of Amos Kennedy’s freewheeling, idiosyncratic approach to printing. Kennedy’s unpredictable individuality and unwavering devotion to libraries is unmatched. From I Support Public Libraries to Art is for Everyone, our collaborations with him are ever-awe-inspiring. And these new Bookish Letterpress are no exception—striking and clever and just plain cool.

With only a handful of each available and such a stunningly affordable price, these handmade beauts are sure to go fast. So make your move before they all get snapped up! And don’t forget—letterpress is a love best shared, so snag a few extras for gifting while you’re at it.
