Better Than a Blender: New Art by Amy Ross

After a long winter (seriously, SO. LONG.), it's wonderful to celebrate spring flora and fauna, and this beautiful mix of birds and botanicals has us all sorts of twitterpated. This is our seventh (!) edition with the super talented Ms. Ross, so we reached out to collage-connoisseur Danielle Krysa of The Jealous Curator for a fresh perspective: 

"One of my favorite things about collage is the act of snipping and cutting found images from different places, and then arranging those clippings into a totally new, unique composition. The bits and pieces that Amy expertly chose, cut, and arranged into this gorgeous shape have gone from being random lithographs on the pages of a natural history book to a beautiful avian love story." 

Lovebirds takes a different direction from Amy's previous editions, leaving behind the merge of disparate elements for a lighter-hearted blend. Just as Amy gives new life to vintage lithographs by cutting and rearranging them, her Lovebirds edition revels in the new life brought by the arrival of spring.
