Wegman’s Farm Days, Helping Farmers

It’s been one year since we introduced Farm Days, our William Wegman edition benefiting the Maine Organic Farmers’ Association (MOFGA). Farm Days is a classic Wegman for many reasons: for one, it plays with an existing image (American Gothic, anyone?) with the artist’s signature dry humor.

Farm Days can also be spotted on the cover of Wegman’s beloved children’s book of the same name, wherein City Boy Chip visits his country cousins, only to be run ragged by the work of running a farm. While farm life may seem idyllic, Farm Days doesn’t shy away from the hard work it takes to feed America.

That’s why Farm Days seemed like the perfect match for MOFGA. MOFGA’s mission is to promote organic agriculture through education, training and advocacy. In 2021, they provided direct technical assistance to more than 100 Maine farms, hosted dozens of educational workshops, and distributed tens of thousands of dollars in grants to farmers. (And that’s just the beginning of the work MOFGA does—find out more about how they support organic farming in Maine.)

"MOFGA is somehow able to do whatever is needed at the moment—from saving a heritage apple tree to figuring out how to keep the milk farmers of Maine afloat—to making farming and a life lived close to the land possible for generations to come."
– William Wegman

We’re thrilled to be part of that essential work with the William Wegman benefit edition, 100% of the profits of which go to MOFGA, supporting the next generation of organic farmers.

The edition is available in 3 sizes:

 11”x11” | edition of 250 | $150 each

16’x16’| edition of 50 | $750 each
20”x20” | edition of 25 | $1500 each

As always, these are museum-quality prints, produced in NYC using archival inks and cotton rag paper, and every print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity hand-signed by the artist. There is a limit of 3 prints per collector.
