Carolyn Castaño

Carolyn Castaño is a Los Angeles-based artist whose work in painting, drawing and video has been shown in the U.S and abroad.

Ms. Castaño’s work has been featured recently in a survey exhibition titled Carolyn Castaño: A Female Topography at the Laband Art Gallery at Loyola Marymount, We Must Risk Delight: Twenty Artists from Los Angeles at the 56th Biennale di Venezia, curated by BardoLA, Mujeres Que Cean / Women Who Create at the New Americans Museum, San Diego, CA, LACMA’s critically acclaimed exhibition, Phantom Sightings: Art After the Chicano Movement, the Museo Del Barrio, New York City and the Museo de Arte Contemporaneo Rufino Tamayo in Mexico City, the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, the Pasadena Museum of California Art, Galerie Dominique Fiat, Paris, France.

Ms. Castaño is a graduate of the UCLA School of Art & Architecture (2001 M.F.A) and the San Francisco Art Institute (B.F.A).
