Artist Statement

There is something incredibly alluring about beaches in Europe for me. This particular beach is a bit hidden from the main street, but I climbed a highway divider and stood on top of it (while giving my friend a heart attack) to get a better view of this beach. I was inspired by the carefree colors and think there is something delightful about making a crowd of people look like tiny dots in a larger scene.
