September is National Library Card Sign-up Month—as if we need another reason to revel amidst the rows of our dearest reads. We’re big book believers over here, but our bibliophilia gets a boost with cooler weather on the way, so sign us up for this September celebration!
Since 1987, libraries around the country unite in a national effort to sign young students up for their own library cards. These ain’t your grandparents’ library cards though! The pandemic has ushered in a new era of membership magic with awesome apps, remote resources, games, STEAM programs, free e-books and more—all for free!
And of course, for those of us who pine for the perfume of paperbacks in the stacks: consider your new library card a golden ticket to bookish bliss. Phewf! And once you come down from that high, we’ve got loads of lit-leaning editions for you paramours of all things print.
Say it with us: I Support Public Libraries!
