Pigeons in the city get a bad rap, but you have to appreciate the sturdiness of their step and the humor in their bobbing heads. They have a tendency to catch the corner of my eye and it's true that I once saw a pigeon and thought it was a very tiny man in a suit. I've wondered on occasion where pigeons are born and where they go to die. Perhaps it's somewhere near this tree of heaven.
