About the role:
We’re looking for a part-time Studio Assistant to work with our small-but-mighty team. Candidates must be located in NYC and able to be on site in our Dumbo, Brooklyn studio approximately 3 days per week (18-24 hours).

The Studio Assistant will support and/or be responsible for a broad a range of administrative and office tasks, including but not limited to overall office + inventory organization, art handling, errands + logistics related tasks, customer service, order fulfillment and ongoing archival projects. 

The right person for this role is first and foremost highly organized and a total go-getter. You must be internet savvy, instinctively detail-oriented and efficient—you know how to prioritize and make the most of your time. You’re also agile. You can roll with the punches to keep things on track, with a gift for managing multiple projects simultaneously. You have a spirit of adventure—visiting vendors will be part of your weekly schedule. We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn and who brings an enthusiastic, efficient, and analytical attitude. 

This is an entry level role with tons of room for growth and learning. Direct experience as a photographer or artist is ideal, and gallery, studio, or museum experience is a plus. If you’re passionate about the convergence of art, commerce, and technology, and want to be part of a dedicated team that makes art collecting accessible to everyone, this could be a perfect fit. 

Primary responsibilities include:
-Packing and shipping orders
-Regularly sync with team members to keep print production schedule on track and identify outstanding needs and align on business priorities
-Coordinate with vendors to arrange weekly transmission of print and framing orders and to troubleshoot issues that arise
-Maintain studio organization and assist with art handling, inventory management
-Manage online customer service
-Various art archive and cataloging projects 

We’re looking for someone who: 
-Is a natural organizer, exceptionally meticulous, and process-oriented
-Is highly adept at multitasking, whether drilling down to the details or doing bigger picture thinking -Loves being hands-on and on the move—enjoys working with material art and objects, geeks out on packaging and shipping supplies, knows their way around a tool box
-Has some experience using digital productivity tools (i.e. Google Docs + Sheets, Slack, Airtable, etc.) -Is comfortable evaluating and handling prints—or looking to learn!
-Is a skilled communicator—your clarity and tone is always on point, both in writing and verbally, you understand the importance of consistent and thorough communication
-Is proactive, enthusiastic, even-tempered, and will always go the extra mile to get it right
-Is nimble, adaptable, and eager to learn—you’re comfortable taking on new challenges
-Excels at working independently but knows when and how to constructively collaborate
-Has experience working in a creative environment
-Really cares about what we’re doing and has a keen interest in fine art, photography and/or design
