Weekend greetings, collectors! It’s Jen here, dropping in on this Small Business Saturday to introduce Kiitos, our newest edition by Amy Casey. Kiitos is how you express gratitude in Finnish, and grateful is just how Ms Casey was feeling during her artist residency at Arteles Creative Center in Finland’s countryside last year. Like many of us, Amy’s found comfort in creativity, nature and gratitude itself during these tumultuous times, and it seemed fitting to launch this aptly entitled edition during this holiday weekend when giving thanks is top of mind.
The main purpose of Small Business Saturday is to encourage folks like you to support small businesses like us (please and thank you!) but it’s also a great opportunity for me to express my own gratitude for all the hard work and good will that has kept 20x200 going in this weirdest of years. Our tiny team has hung tough all year long and been a joy to work with throughout, our artists have been inspiring, inventive, and enthusiastic as always, and all of you have been steadfast in your support. I wasn’t sure how—or even if—the business could survive earlier this year, but the team pulled together and as 2020 winds down, I’m relieved, proud, and incredibly grateful that we’ve kept going and growing amid so much uncertainty.
That uncertainty has also had a big impact on our holiday planning, which means that this coming Monday, November 30th is our big deadline if you’re planning to give our prints, framed or unframed, as a Christmas present. We’ve still got a few more surprises up our sleeves after Monday, but for the broadest art selection, you’ll want to get your order in this weekend. And don’t forget to use GIFTSHIP to get free shipping when you spend $50 or more!
I’m about to make like Amy myself and find my own comfort in the great outdoors, so I’ll close with a heartfelt Kiitos to all of you, along with my warmest wishes for a safe, happy, and hopeful holiday season.
With art for everyone,
Jen Bekman, 20x200 Founder + Head Curator
