New! Celebrating the organic with cyanotype
It’s time for a holiday treat. We can’t share our T-day leftovers over the internet, but we’re serving up another something special: FREE shipping on all orders in the continental US when you spend $50 or more—through this Monday, 11/28 at 11:59pm PT only! Use code YIPPEE.
Folks who’ve been with us for a while know we rarely ever offer free shipping—we’re a super small team and take extra care packing and shipping every artwork, so the cost of shipping isn’t something we can usually cover. Consider this your once-in-a-blue-moon chance to score the satisfaction of free shipping for all the art in your cart—prints, framed prints, or objects. Just spend $50+ and enter code YIPPEE at checkout.
This is a great opportunity to get that holiday gift list in order. Our order deadlines for guaranteed delivery for some holiday cheer are coming up—11/28 for the first night of Hanukkah and 12/5 for Christmas Eve. Orders placed after that date could still get to you in time (and we have select pieces that’ll ship with speedier service for on-sched arrival), but there won’t be any other opportunity to snag free shipping. Use YIPPEE by midnight PT on Monday, 11/28!
The FINE PRINT (not to be confused with our fine prints)
+ All orders using code YIPPEE are final sale.
+ This promotion is only available for orders shipping within the continental US.
+ Enter YIPPEE code at checkout to receive free shipping on any order over $50.
+ This promotion ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on 11/28/22. No extensions, no exceptions, no kidding.
+ No double-dipping! This offer may not be combined with other discounts, offers or promotions, including previously placed orders.
We’re not known for containing our enthusiasm around these parts, but today’s new object edition has stirred up an unprecedented cyano-stoked frenzy. We’re thrilled to present Caitlin Parker’s Cyanotype Wall Hangings. With swooping stems of feathery ferns, billowy bloomage, and delicate wisps of the most wonderful weeds, these richly contrasting Cyanotype Wall Hangings are bursting with the very best of science and spectacle. And BONUS! Our deadline may have passed for standard prints but these lovelies are part of our Quick Ship collection, so they’ll arrive in time for holiday gifting!*
Curating studied selections of flora and forage from her library of plant pressings, Parker thoughtfully arranges each array of herbage into meandering mosaics of stalks and petals atop fresh linen fabric. Then using some California sunlight and the cyanotype process—originally pioneered by Anna Atkins in the 19th century—Parker’s compositions begin to develop resulting in that signature sumptuous blue hue.
The linen that Parker has chosen for these wall hangings is the perfect host for their untamed organicism. Irregular itself, it reveals its contours and pretty imperfections as it’s draped, stretched, or handled. Carefully stitched and finished off with a brass dowel hanger, each Cyanotype Wall Hanging is one-of-a-kind and ready to hang.
These Cyanotype Wall Hangings are our sixth(!) project with the ever-impressive Parker, who has perfected her practice of botanical artmaking across many mediums. Her debut 20x200 print editions, Catskill Prairie and Bi-coastal, showcase her penchant for plantlife and skillful mastery of cyanotype printing. From printing to painting, Parker dazzled collectors with her Flower Stamped Linen Panels and wistful watercolor work of Salton Sea. And let us not forget that time she took us to the moon!
As Parker’s 20x200 oeuvre continues to expand, we’re absolutely delighted to introduce these Cyanotype Wall Hangings into our collections. If you’re like us, you can never have enough art. And a richly textured textile is the perfect addition to an ever-growing salon wall to add a touch of dimension amongst framed art. Minimalism more your style? It also makes for a certifiably sublime statement piece. Whatever your vibe, snap one up quick! With only a handful available, these botanical beauts are sure to move fast.
* Order by 11am ET 12/16 for delivery by Christmas Eve.
