Greetings, collectors! We’ve got another new artist debut coming at ya. Bay Area-based ceramicist and book editor Libby Hruska is upping our snack storage game with these Ceramic Banana Dishes.
Each Ceramic Banana Dish measures in at about 6.5”x2.5”x1”—perfect to house a little midday nibble or to use as a catchall for petite bric-a-brac. These carefully crafted containers are a natural pick-me-up, forming a jaunty bananesque swoop accented with a hand-glazed freckled peel. And seasonally speaking, they’re gloriously giftable and universally lovable.
Hruska has been an art book editor for many years, including ten years at MoMA in New York. Being immersed in the visual languages of composition, color, and design has helped her hone her own ideas of beauty and inspiration. These fun fruity dishes began as “friendship bananas”—a simple project to bring joy to Hruska’s loved ones during the pandemic. And now we’re over the moon to share these happy-making vessels with you all.
Whether you’re treating yourself or gift-hunting for a friend, these delightful dishes are exceptionally energizing and oh-so-apeeling. But hurry! This limited edition bunch is sure to go quick, so snap one up ASAP.
