Debbie Millman wears a ton of hats: author, editor, educator, strategist. Not to mention that team 20x200 has been totally hooked on her award-winning podcast, Design Matters, since its inception in 2009. But Ms. Millman is also a formidable artist and designer in her own right, and it's that incarnation of her mega multi-faceted being whom we have to thank for today's very special edition release, Imagine That.

Millman’s work fuses typography, color, form and composition, enriching and transforming text itself with a mixed-media arsenal of visual art techniques. Her study of visual storytelling—as an art, and as a larger, powerfully formative force of identity and human experience—has been ongoing for over twenty years. Imagine That is a continuation of that thoughtful exploration, and with its accompanying manifesto, she invites us to contemplate a most fitting meditation for these uncertain times. Care to come along for the ride? Start with Millman’s manifesto for Imagine That:

Imagine that we are on one planet and we are all living right now.
Imagine that we are united around one continuous sun and we are accompanied by one luminous moon. Imagine that, as a species, we feel deeply and we are moved by beauty and music, friendship and joy, art and poetry.
Imagine that we feel deeply and we can cry—deep soulful heaving—to share our burdens and be comforted by others.
Imagine that we believe so completely in our values and ideals that sometimes we feel compelled to defend them.
Imagine that we are united by the diversity of these beliefs knowing that a range of ideas are the ingredients to create progress.
Imagine that we are fiercely committed to the freedom to love who we love, to worship in our own way, and to be tolerant of the behaviors and beliefs of others.
Imagine that we are on one planet and we are all living right now.
Imagine that we have love.
Imagine that we feel love.
Imagine that love.
Imagine that love.
Yes, that love.
Imagine That.

With art for everyone,
