Greetings, collectors! We’ve got a delicious debut edition for you today from artist and printmaker Anastasia Inciardi. Crowded Table is a delightful display of all things snackish—an all-star lineup of some of Inciardi’s most crowd pleasing designs.
You may know Inciardi from her now viral Mini Print Vending Machine. Her vibrant and poppy mini linocut prints have taken social media by storm, and we’re not surprised. There is inherent nostalgic joy baked into each image she produces. Choosing from her favorite simple pleasures, Inciardi highlights the candid characteristics of common comestibles in the whimsical renderings of Crowded Table.
While her prints typically consist of solo snack studies, Inciardi’s peckish fans have been hungry for more, more, MORE! We teamed up with Inciardi to produce a Crowded Table—a fabulous feast of arty fare. Layering 45 designs into one magnificent muster of morsels, Crowded Table represents the acme of amuse-bouche in a limited edition digital print.
Growing up in an Italian-American family in Brooklyn, the now Portland, Maine-based artist remembers entire weeks planned around meals and food outings. Drawing inspiration from artists like Richard Scarry, Eric Carle, and Wayne Thiebaud, Inciardi wanted to convey her this oh-so-relatable nostalgia to connect with others. She first discovered linocuts while studying Art and Art History at Kenyon college, and has pursued the medium ever since. And now engaged to an organic farmer, her edible inspiration is in fresh picked abundance.
From pantry staples to childhood treats, there's no guilt to be found in these small pleasures. Crowded Table celebrates our knack for noshing. No judgment here. This may be the perfect print to jazz up your kitchen. Or a snazzy select for a home-cookin’ kid. Or heck, hang it up big in your living room as a conversation piece. Believe us, everyone has something to say about art like this. Whether for a linocut lover, dining doyenne, or simply that friend who’s always hungry, this print is a winner. So pull up a chair to this Crowded Table—we’ll make room.
